. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to build their leadership experience and contribute to a high-quality early years setting.
In this pivotal role, you'll support the Nursery Manager and Deputy in leading the team, overseeing daily operations, and creating a safe, engaging environment where children thrive. You'll take the lead in a designated room and confidently step into senior responsibilities when required.
Your Role & Responsibilities
Support the leadership team with the day-to-day running of the nursery
Take ownership of a specific room, leading staff and delivering best practice
Plan and deliver rich, age-appropriate learning experiences aligned with the EYFS
Coach and guide team members, providing regular feedback and on-the-job mentoring
Maintain up-to-date records, assessments, and documentation in line with safeguarding policies
Build strong, professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Assist with rota planning, resource management, and quality assurance tasks
Take on key management duties in the absence of senior leadership to ensure smooth operations
What You'll Bring
Level 3 qualification (or higher)
in Early Years Education (essential)
Previous nursery experience, ideally with supervisory or team-leading responsibilities
Strong working knowledge of the
EYFS
and safeguarding requirements
Confident communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive mindset with the ability to lead, support and inspire others
A deep passion for early years development and child-centred learning
