Pitlair House are seeking a compassionate and dedicated

Nursing Home Carer (Day Shift)

to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety and well-being in a supportive and respectful environment. This position requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with daily personal care activities, such as washing, dressing, grooming and toileting Support residents with mobility, including using hoists or walking aids, as required Serve meals and assist when necessary Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to senior staff or nurses Help residents participate in social and recreational activities Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided Ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment for all residents Provide companionship and emotional support Follow all safeguarding and health & safety protocols Respect residents' rights, privacy and dignity at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience in a care setting (preferred but not essential) SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) A kind, patient and empathetic nature Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed Right to Work in the UK (or applicable country)

Desirable Attributes:

First Aid and Manual Handling training Understanding of dementia and elderly care Calm under pressure and able to respond to emergencies appropriately
