Job Description

We are looking for a RGN or RN nurse to come and join our friendly team here at Oakhurst Court Nursing Home. We are looking for Day or Nights shifts, 12 hour shifts, 8-8AM/8-8PM.

We are an all stage dementia nursing home. This is a busy role that requires excellent communication and organisational skills.

Oakhurst Court is beautiful nursing home situated in the picturesque Surrey countryside. A short walk from South Godstone station, we offer competitive pay, pension contributions & 5 weeks annual leave. We provide all staff the relevant training & development.

Your requirements:

Accept responsibility in a professional manner and act in a professional way according to professional accountability.

Must be forward thinking, anticipating events happening at all times as much as possible.

Be fully aware of policies and procedures and to adhere to them at all times.

Ensure that all responsibilities have been carried out prior to ending a shift of work and that issues have been clearly logged on relevant documentation.

To administer drugs in accordance with the home's policies and procedures.

To carry out regular checks on clients at intervals determined by their condition and with due regard for the client's privacy and dignity.

To support the manager to observe and maintain such records as may be directed by the Care Quality Commission and company policy.

To provide and supervise the delivery of nursing care, acting as a resource for all the caring team, identifying any training and development needs, assisting colleagues to their maximum and assist in training programmes.

To ensure clients receive adequate diet, drinks and reduce the risk of dehydration.

To communicate with management on relevant issues assisting where reasonably required.

To support good practice in hygiene and infection control.

We are required to do our own DBS checks which you will be responsible for paying.
