Job Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Instilling excellent clinical practices and thereby ensuring high standards of nursing care for the residents at Castel Froma; Assisting the Registered Manager to ensure that the care centre complies with CQC and other regulatory clinical requirements; Providing clinical leadership to the nursing team including appraisal and supervision of staff, preparation and review of clinical policies and procedures; Conducting clinical audits including medication, infection control and care plans; Managing the assessment process of prospective residents; Working as the most senior Registered Nurse on a regular basis, including an 'on-call' system to ensure all shifts are suitably staffed; Liaison with other senior managers, heads of departments and the Nominated Individual as and when necessary; Attendance at various meetings; Other ad hoc duties, as required. Key Performance Requirements: Ability to assess the needs of prospective residents and guests, and work within a multi-disciplinary team framework; Ongoing development of clinical strategy for the organisation as a whole.
