Job Summary

Crondall New Surgery has a vacancy for a practice-based, NVQ 2 or NVQ3 qualified dispenser.

We are a rural dispensing GP practice based in the beautiful village of Crondall, between Farnham in Surrey and Fleet in Hampshire. We dispense medications in-house to approximately 2500 patients and prepare NOMAD dossette boxes to several local nursing and care homes. Further and mandatory NHS training will be provided and our website has more information about the practice and the team.

Training on reception is also provided as being able to help on the reception desk at times is necessary.

Role is from 1 x 4.5 PM and 2 x 6 hour AM shifts per week, on a Monday PM, Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM. Additional hours providing bank cover of around 6-10 hours per week is available.

Job Type: Part-time permanent role

Salary: from minimum 12.24 to 14.00 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities and Duties

Under the supervision of the Dispensary Manager, to be responsible for:

Dispensing prescriptions Preparing dossette boxes Maintaining stock levels & product life management Dealing with patient, doctor and nurses enquiries Ordering repeat prescriptions Promoting services and NHS campaigns Improving any of the above processes. Any other reasonable dispensing and dispensary activities
Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, to assist the team with:

answering the telephone, making appointments and dealing with patient enquiries.

Any other general administration or IT tasks. Assisting the Practice Manager and partners in any suitable administrative tasks. Keeping the Practice manager informed of all practice issues that arise.

Qualifications and Skills

It is a busy role with responsibility, and we are looking for someone who already has the relevant NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 qualification in dispensing.

Some reception/public facing experience is necessary, and confidence speaking with the public.

Secondary education and minimum NVQ2 in dispensing essential.
