Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated NVQ2 Qualified Dispenser to join our dispensary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, supporting patient care, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. Duties

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and dispensary SOPs Assist with medication administration and provide guidance to patients on proper usage Support patient care activities, including counselling on medication adherence and addressing queries Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient profiles accordingly Ensure stock levels are monitored and replenished as necessary, adhering to safety standards Comply with all legal, safety, and confidentiality requirements related to dispensing within general practice Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes and medication management Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the dispensary area to meet health and safety standards

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification recognised within the UK healthcare sector Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care principles Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards

Our practice is located within the beautiful Suffolk village of Wickhambrook between Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket and Haverhill, serving a patient population of approximately 5,200 patients, dispensing to nearly 100% of the practice population.? Located in Wickhambrook Suffolk, CB8 8XU. The practice runs from a purpose-built building. There is free car parking on site and nearby.
