Staff Nurse Occupational Health

The occupational health nurse role is varied and includes:



identifying and preventing work related health problems.



promotion of healthy living and working conditions.



understanding the effects of work on health and health at work.



provide advice on first aid management.



provide health screening services.



Support the senior nurses to make efficient and effective use of resources. Maintain accurate records of clinical stock, ordering of pharmacy items, clinical supplies and purchasing of stock items



To demonstrate IT skills to enable access to relevant information. i.e. blood results



Good time management skills in order to manage daily caseload



To maintain client confidentiality and work within the framework of the Data Protection Act.
