Llanarth Courtis looking to recruit aOccupational Therapist to join the team Llanarth Court Hospital is a 95 bedded forensic hospital providing a secure environment consisting of medium, low and open rehabilitation settings for men and women with mental illness and or personality disorder. This is a full time 37.5 hours role.



Priory Hospital Llanarth Court, located in the rural area of Usk, Monmouthshire, offers secure services for adult males and females. We provide a specialist assessment and treatment service for people with mental health conditions who present with a variety of behaviours that challenge

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
Manages and co-ordinates the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication. Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis. Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient's rehabilitation / progress. Ensures the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will hold a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, along with full BAOT membership and current HCPC registration. They will bring a minimum of three years' experience to the role, including at least one year working within a specialised area such as addictions, neuro-rehabilitation, or eating disorders.
