We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various settings including hospitals and critical care environments. This role involves assessing patients' needs, developing personalised treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance their daily living skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual patient evaluations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
Provide therapy sessions that may include activities to improve motor skills, coordination, and cognitive function.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for daily living.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and relevant medical advancements.
Experience
Previous experience in a hospital or critical care setting is essential, with a preference for candidates who have worked in ICU environments.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging is highly desirable.
Experience in case management and speech therapy will be considered an asset.
Familiarity with paediatric care is beneficial for those working with younger patients.
