About the Service
This specialist hospital in North London provides acute and secure mental health care for adult females. The service includes two medium secure wards, one low secure, and one acute ward. It supports individuals experiencing severe mental illness and complex needs who require intensive treatment in a secure, therapeutic environment.
About the Role
As a qualified Occupational Therapist, you will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, providing clinical expertise and meaningful interventions to help individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life. This role requires compassion, creativity, and clinical insight to support residents in achieving their personal recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental needs.
Design and implement personalised, evidence-based treatment plans focused on self-care, productivity, and leisure.
Deliver therapy through both individual and group sessions using a variety of approaches such as sensory integration, therapeutic exercises, and coping strategies.
Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external professionals, ensuring continuity of care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adjust care plans based on individual progress.
What You'll Bring
BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
HCPC registration.
Experience within an occupational therapy setting, preferably in mental health or neuro-rehabilitation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
