Are you an occupational therapist committed to working in mental health and keen to use your professional skills to support individuals' recovery?Are you interested in being involved in service innovation and part of bringing change to local mental health delivery?Oxford City + NE Adult mental health team are leading the way locally with a team of occupational therapists and experienced support staff providing mental health reablement. This team provide short, intensive, activation focussed interventions to support service users to increase, reconnect to, or initiate activities of meaning to support recovery from a period of mental health distress.The team is embedded in the AMHT working alongside the core delivery led key workers, team managers, psychology delivery and the medical team to support service user recovery.Part of the role is collecting evidence to support the local evaluation of the reablement model using a combination of patient reported outcome measures, wellbeing scales and occupational therapy assessments. You will contribute to collecting the evidence for the value of embedding this model within our local delivery alongside providing wider evidence for the effectiveness of occupational therapists in community mental health.Main duties of the jobThe Band 5 Reablement Occupational Therapist will (with the support and supervision of Band 6 member of the team)

  • provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment interventions
  • to carry a caseload as a member of the MDT
  • develop the occupational therapy service provision within the setting.
