We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our MIS North Nottinghamshire Team, covering Bassetlaw and Newark. Our team includes Promoting Independence Workers, Service Advisers, Community Care Officers, Occupational Therapists, Social Worker and supportive management. In overseeing the person's journey and as part of the MIS, you will have access to colleagues who provide direct service and support provision.
The Maximising Independence Service (MIS) is focused on early resolution, prevention and promoting independence and well-being. The service embeds a Strength Based Approach in everyday practice in line with the departments Adult Social Care Strategy and the Care Act 2014. The aim of the service is to help people to maximise their independence as much as possible by providing information, advice, and guidance, setting short-term goals, and identifying support to achieve those goals.

Enablement
Reablement
Benefits advice
Signposting to community support
Equipment and minor adaptations
Carers support and advice
Support from i-work
The Maximising Independence Service will also work with other providers to support people to increase their independence and well-being.

Our office base covers the two Districts of Bassetlaw and Newark & Sherwood.
There is excellent clinical supervision and support from colleagues, including the Advanced Practitioner OT and the Team Manager OT.
