role is ideal for
an experienced OT
looking to supplement their existing hours, and to gain experience with additional clients. The duties outlined below may vary depending on the needs of the case, with the primary current case being in
Ossett
with room for expansion in the future. We are particularly keen to source an individual with solid understanding of sensory integration, and good communication skills. Previous paediatric experience is required.
This role is not suitable for newly qualified OTs, due to the level of autonomy required.
Main duties:
Deliver
1-1 OT
sessions
with a small number of clients
Work 1-1 with children/adolescents aged 3-18
Run therapy alongside Leapfrog Early Intervention Therapists and give them training to deliver your recommendations
Sessions will take place during school hours
Assess, take data and keep meticulous records
Work closely with parents and school/nursery staff
Attend team workshops once per term for each child
Complete standard safeguarding responsibilities
Be part of the Senior Team at Leapfrog Therapies and help inform best practice and services offered
Essential
:
1. You must have previous experience working with children with autism and special education needs
2. You must have experience assessing, delivering therapy and consultation/training for your recommendations
3. You must have experience with sensory needs/difficulties
4. You must be reliable and committed
5. You must have excellent communication skills
6. You must have right to work and be able to be Self-Employed in the UK
7. You must have a clean Enhanced DBS or be willing to undertake one
8. You must have use of a car, for ease of getting to clients. (Based in Ossett and Shipley)
Desirable
You may have availability to work with additional children in future, as the company expands!
You will ideally have training/qualifications in Sensory Integration Therapy
