You'll work with people with physical, mental health or social disabilities to help them do everyday activities. You'll spend time with individuals to found out they do in there day to day life and help them find ways to overcome challenges
What you can add:
Manage a varied caseload, progressing to include complex and at times highly complex cases.
Provide occupational therapy that is evidence based and follows client centred principles. This will include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating the outcome of interventions and documenting all stages of the process.
Provide leadership for junior/non-registered staff as appropriate to the post, through supervision and appraisal, progressing to delegating responsibilities as appropriate.
Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy service within a designated area/team, progressing to holding responsibility and taking a leading role for defined projects or specialist interventions.
What you'll need:
Professional registration with the Health Care Professions Council
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
Broad knowledge and application of OT in mental health
Ability to travel between sites and to regional meetings
