The Community Occupational Therapy Service in Rochdale are looking for three enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to join a busy and friendly team to deliver an Equipment and Adaptations service to the residents of Rochdale. The posts comprise of one permanent position and two 12 month temporary positions.
This is an excellent opportunity for therapists to develop their skills in this area or to support therapists returning to work. The work is extremely varied and an opportunity for occupational therapists to consolidate and establish new skills. Training and support will be available. The work is community based in settings across Rochdale. Hybrid working is available.
About you
You will need to be a team player, with an ability to be organised, adaptable and passionate in delivering a strength based incremental approach to our residents. You will need to have organisational skills to manage and plan your caseload. An understanding of current legislation in relation to Health and Social Care and Housing and good knowledge of the role of the Community Occupational Therapist.
About us
The role is diverse and the learning opportunities are wide. There is a comprehensive in-house training programme and the Occupational Therapists have their own Practice Development Group where there are many training opportunities available to enhance the skills of the Community Occupational Therapist. Regular supervision is from an Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist. We regularly support student placements from local universities.
We have close working relationships with our Health and Housing partners as well as an embedded role in our Locality social care teams.
