We're currently working with the

London Borough of Redbridge

to find an experienced

Community Occupational Therapist

to join the locality-based

HASS Fairlop team

-- a multi-disciplinary service committed to delivering holistic, person-centred care.

About the role:

This is a hands-on, community-based role assessing and supporting adults with complex needs. You'll manage a caseload of approximately four clients per week, balancing a mixture of

complex and standard OT cases

. Your focus will include

major adaptations, specialist equipment

, and promoting safe independence in the home.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct holistic OT assessments and reviews for individuals with varying levels of physical and health needs Recommend, specify, and coordinate major adaptations and complex equipment solutions Liaise with contractors, read and prepare plans/sketches for property adaptations Provide training on the safe use of equipment and assess ongoing suitability Collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues, including social care and health professionals Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant legislation and safety standards

What you'll need:

A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification Registration with the HCPC Previous experience in community-based OT practice Strong knowledge of major adaptations, specialist equipment, and manual handling Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team Excellent organisational skills to manage and prioritise complex caseloads Understanding of social care law and

housing legislation
