An exciting and rewarding opportunity have arisen to join Bristol City Council Adult Social Care as an Occupational Therapist within our Swift Response Team.
The Swift Response Team is the first point of contact in adult care following new referrals from citizens or professionals. We are a multidisciplinary team who work together to support citizens city-wide; ensuring citizens have the right professional expertise for their presenting needs at the earliest opportunity.
Our team provides short-term, fast paced interventions using strengths-based approaches; promoting citizens to have choice and control, and supporting them to make their own decisions to enable them to live as independently as possible.
This role provides excellent opportunity for variety, meaning no two days will be the same and there will always be an opportunity for challenge and development. You will manage a range of cases with varying complexity; undertaking support conversations and occupational therapy assessments.
You will be working within the statutory structure of the Care Act 2014 undertaking, Care Act Assessments/Carers Assessments/Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Assessments.
You will work closely with other agencies and departments across adult care.
You will work within a team of Team Manager, Senior Practitioners, Senior Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Social Care Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Aides. You will receive guidance and support from your colleagues to further develop your skills, knowledge and confidence in this fulfilling role alongside professional supervision.
