Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities. This role involves working closely with individuals of all ages, including paediatrics, in various settings such as hospitals and critical care environments. The Occupational Therapist will utilise their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to deliver high-quality patient care.

Initially, the role will be for 22.5 hours per week; however, with an expanding piece of work taking place, there is every expectation that the role will develop into a full-time one.

Responsibilities



Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and mental capabilities. Develop tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' functional abilities. Implement therapeutic interventions, including case management and speech therapy techniques. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for daily living. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Stay updated with advancements in occupational therapy practices and medical imaging technologies.

Requirements



A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification. Registration with the relevant professional body. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Experience in case management within a healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with critical care practices and paediatric therapy is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating strong organisational skills. A commitment to providing compassionate patient care and promoting independence in daily activities.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 25.00-28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week
