Band 4 OT Assistant Practitioner - Orthopaedics & Surgical Services



(Prior experience as an OT assistant is essential).

The post is a key part of the OT discharge service supporting registered staff with the assessment and rehabilitation



This role includes :

-



Assessment of trauma and elective patients who have been referred Occupational Therapy



Taking equipment out to patients' homes and fitting items (training will be given)



Setting up / providing follow up visits for prescribed equipment,



maintenance of stock,



Liaison with outside agencies and patients' families,



Teaching patients and their families how to use and fit the equipment



Undertaking falls assessments



The post is based at Frimley Park Hospital but applicants must be able to travel between all Frimley Health's hospitals and patient's homes.
