Ocean Support Coordinator

Full time, 6 Months (Fixed Term)



MSC UK is recruiting for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ocean Support Coordinator (OSC), functioning within our Commercial Optimisation Team.


Reporting to Optimisation Supervisor, the OSC is responsible to monitor MSC UK inbound/outbound shipments, whilst liaising with transhipment ports (overseas/UK). Working collaboratively with respective Trade Teams in MSC UK, our OSC ensures that MSC's shipments and transhipment connections are successfully met and acts upon potential delays.

Skills and experience you'll bring to us

Professional, committed and enthusiastic. Desire to drive improvement throughout Commercial Excellent word, Excel and PowerPoint skills Strong attention to detail Good levels of numeracy and English Ability to prioritise and meet required deadlines. Ability to build good relationships and communicate effectively via all channels. Shipping or Logistics background

How you will help us and what you can expect

Monitor and track the movement of containers using our tracking systems Manage intended connections, ensuring execution and performance. Contact Transhipment ports to encourage transhipment movement Provide timely and accurate updates to Commercial teams regarding the status of transhipment hubs whilst alerting for potential delays. Coordinate with various departments to resolve any issues related to container tracking. Maintain detailed records of container movements and ensure data accuracy.
