OCI QUALITY INSPECTOR/ MANUFACTURING OPERATIVE | SELSEY | SHIFT ALLOWANCE

Responsibilities:
Shift Pattern:
We operate a rotational shift pattern covering 7-7 days and nights. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically you would be working as follows:

• Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• Week 2 - Wednesday & Thursday

Responsibilities:
Operate and complete verification and health checks on the optical sorter
Monitor the sorting line to identify and remove foreign bodies
Ensure accurate labelling, recording, and documentation in line with SOPs and customer standards
Liaise with Quality and Production teams to record, investigate, and escalate foreign body findings
Maintain food safety, quality, legality, and health & safety compliance at all times
Report non-conformances, out-of-spec products, and equipment issues promptly
Support Intake Quality activities and complete other quality inspections as required
Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by the Line Manager
Requirements
Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment (desirable)
Familiarity with optical sorting or similar machinery (desirable)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting
High attention to detail with a strong focus on food safety and hygiene
Able to follow strict safety procedures and work in a chilled environment
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Flexible, organised, and able to multitask under pressure
Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
