General Admin Assistant required to assist other staff members in the office with a range of tasks.
The right candidate would be flexible and open minded within the position due to it being such a varied role and able to/happy to assist in all areas of the business when required.
Some of the main requirements of the job (although this is only a limited list) are below, the rest can be discussed at Interview stage. Commercial/Construction administration experience is desirable.
- Providing general support to ensure efficient operation of office
- Answering and directing phone calls internally
- Booking employees hotels, managing expenses on company credit card system*,
- Ordering office supplies/equipment and materials to various sites as directed
- Assisting with the monitoring of all company vehicles (MOT, Tax, Services, Repair etc).
- Helping organise and review all Insurances and updating periodically/as required
- Onboarding new staff/subcontractors with existing templates/procedures
- Organising training as and when required
- Hiring plant and equipment to sites along with materials as directed
- Undertaking DBS and Driving Licence Checks
- Weekly posting on company Facebook Page (All photos and information will be provided)
- Daily log of jobs site staff are working on
- Logging and monitoring staff holidays
- Weekly/Monthly/Annual H&S Checks in the office as directed with existing templates and procedures.
Whilst the above is not an exhaustive list, this is where we would start with a view to expand responsibility when settled in after probation period.
Exact hours to be discussed at interview - Ideally we would like someone working Monday - Friday every day, there is some flexibility with this/the hours
Please note: Salary will be based on experience with a review on successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.
Unfortunately due to the nature of the role, remote/hybrid/homeworking is not available.
Driving licence required (Due to location of the office - LE12 5ES)
Holiday cover may be required on occasion (although this will be discussed well in advance of any cover required and would not be earlier than 9.30am / later than 4pm Monday to Friday)
No weekend working

Training on all items with a provided (and assistance with all tasks to help you fit in for the first few months) 20 days holiday + bank holidays (Pro rata for start part way through the year)
This is a perfect opportunity for someone who may have already worked in an office environment who would like to develop their skills and take on more responsibility. No formal qualifications are required as we are more interested in existing experience and general interest to succeed and make yourself a part of the team.
A keen, happy attitude is a must, along with experience using Microsoft Office and ability and interest to learn quickly.
