As we continue to grow, we're looking for a proactive and highly organised Office Administrator/Assistant to support our operations team. This is an ideal role for someone with excellent attention to detail and an interest in the commercial side of construction--particularly Quantity Surveying.
Role Overview:
As our Office Administrator/Assistant, you'll play a vital role in keeping our office running efficiently while supporting our Director, Quantity Surveyors and project managers with key administrative and project-related tasks. You'll gain valuable insight into cost planning, procurement, and contract support in a busy and fast-paced flooring business.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day office administration including filing, scheduling, and answering phone and email enquiries
Supporting our Quantity Surveyors with data entry, pricing enquiries, and quote comparisons
Managing project documentation, contracts, and supplier communications
Assisting with invoice tracking, material orders, and delivery schedules
Liaising with clients, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth workflow
Keeping records organised and up to date for ongoing and completed projects
Supporting health & safety documentation and compliance tracking
Helping coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and team communications
What We're Looking For:
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
Strong written and verbal communication
A keen interest in construction or the flooring trade, with a willingness to learn about Quantity Surveying
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently
Previous office or construction admin experience is a plus, but not essential
