Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Tanfield Groundworks Ltd is a well-established groundworks and civil engineering contractor based in Stanley. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a reliable and organised Office Administrator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
General office administration and day-to-day office management
Using Xero accounting software for accounts administration
Preparing and issuing valuation invoices based on site works
Processing purchase invoices, expenses, and payments
Liaising with site managers, suppliers, and clients
Maintaining accurate financial and project records
Assisting with payroll information and timesheets
Answering phone calls, emails, and handling correspondence
Supporting management with ad-hoc administrative duties
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in an office administration role (construction or groundworks experience preferred but not essential)
Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional and confident communication skills
Driving Essential
