Blackwater Academy is an alternative provision school, established in 2015 in Birmingham. Our main objective is to empower the young, nurturing their individual talent and building upon their strengths with a view to also helping families and the wider community. Growth and success have led to a second location in Tipton, and a third in Stourbridge. This is a brand-new school and an exciting new opportunity.

Office Administrator/Receptionist
Hours: 8:00-4:00 Monday to Friday (Term time only)

The successful applicant will work in a very busy office and have the ability to work under pressure and be flexible at all times.
They will be required to carry out duties including:
Perform various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the office
Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for staff members
Assist with data entry, filing, and record keeping
Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, reports, and other documents
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and package Provide general administrative support to the team as needed
Completing and maintain attendance for students
Contact external stakeholders
Experience
Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus
Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail
Ability to type accurately and efficientlyNote:
