OGI's head office is located in Meadowfield, Durham, with a growing team and client base.

Role Description



Due to our increasing workload and team size, this is a full-time (although part-time would also be considered) role for an experienced Manager to work from our offices in Durham. The primary purpose of the role is to:

Oversee the management of OGI's head office in Meadowfield, Durham, and Manage OGI's compliance with key Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Requirements (i.e. SHEQ) relevant to the Construction Industry.
Working as part of a wider management team, key office-based activities will include (but are not limited to):

Office Management Tasks



Management and enhancement of company admin and business systems. Development and implementation of office procedures and policies. Managing relationships and negotiating contracts with office suppliers. Overseeing the management of office equipment and office IT. Managing office maintenance via appropriate suppliers, and within a business budget.

SHEQ Tasks



Managing OGI's SHEQ memberships, including 'Constructionline', 'SSIP' and other memberships, proactively developing and updating Policies and Procedures as required for compliance, whilst also collecting evidence of compliance. Developing and implementing systems and procedures to comply with OGI's Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) policies. Organising and documenting SHEQ training for employees. Completing New Supplier Questionnaires to assist with expanding OGI's Client base. Developing and implementing systems and procedures to comply with OGI's Data Protection Policies.

Other Tasks



Assisting the directors with tasks related to recruitment and Human Resources (HR). Assisting the directors with the organisation and planning of marketing events, e.g. Conferences and Training Events Assisting the directors with the processing and analysis of business performance data. Assisting the directors with the management of Research and Development Claims and undertaking associated business analysis.

Required Qualifications & Experience



An Honours Degree or NVQ level qualification is preferred. However, candidates with transferable management qualifications and experience would also be considered. Excellent organisational skills. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to work in a team, building productive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and clients. The ability to prepare and implement policies and procedures, for sign off by the Directors. This will require the ability to research and summarise requirements in some areas. The ability to work directly with suppliers, and reliably manage multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously, and within deadlines. The candidate will be the main contact to OGI suppliers on tasks which they manage. Experience in overseeing the delivery of tasks on time, within budget, and to excellent quality standards. A Management Qualification is desirable (e.g. CMgr), or if not, the willingness to progress towards such a qualification (with support from OGI). Knowledge of Constructionline requirements, SHEQ requirements, and SSIP requirements is desirable. If not, a willingness to learn and become the OGI lead on compliance with such memberships/requirements.

Pay: 30,000.00-45,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
