Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and organised Office Assistant to support our busy sales and production team. This role involves providing essential administrative support, managing correspondence, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily office activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office applications, and excellent communication abilities. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills within a busy, production environment.

The job will involve regularly standing up, moving around the office between sales and production departments as well as task based computer work.

Responsibilities



Answering and directing phone calls with professional etiquette Being the first contact point for customers visiting us in person Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail Data entry and maintaining accurate records using various software including Xero accounting software Organising files, documents, and office supplies to ensure efficient workflow Placing orders for production supplies, materials and garments from our wholesale suppliers. Assisting with scheduling appointments and meetings Generating invoices within Xero and processing web orders using our Shopify platform Utilising Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace for daily tasks Arranging shipping for orders to be dispatched. The opportunity to learn further skills including Adobe Suite for proof generation, social media marketing and maintenance of our online Shop using Shopify Providing general administrative support to team members as required

We're hard-working and dedicated to work but enjoy family time, being outdoors and providing excellent customer service to our loyal customer base. Proven office experience or administrative background Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Experience with Xero or similar accounting software is advantageous but not essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Typing skills for efficient data entry and document preparation Good phone etiquette with professional communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks undertaken Ability to work independently whilst supporting team objectives Previous clerical experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 37.5 per week
