Job Description

Office & Communications Manager Part-Time | Immediate Start | Based in Shoreditch, London

About Us

Finkernagel Ross is a London and Hamburg based architecture and interior design studio known for creating deeply refined, impactful spaces. Our work spans high-end residential and boutique hospitality projects across the UK and Europe each grounded in a timeless design philosophy and a thoughtful, high-end approach. From our creative hub on Shoreditch High Street, just five minutes from Liverpool Street Station, we operate as a tight-knit, design-led team. We care deeply about excellence - in our work, our culture, and the way we show up for each other. We close early on Fridays, take breaks over Christmas, and believe that clarity, balance, and care should underpin everything we do. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an exceptional Office & Communications Manager.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to step into a multi-faceted role at the heart of a growing design practice. Part studio manager, part communications lead, this role is ideal for someone with a people-first mindset, a sharp eye for detail, and a need for making things run smoothly behind the scenes. You'll support the Directors in both the day-to-day running of the studio and the strategic development of our brand presence, visibility, and internal operations. The position is part-time, ideally three full days per week, or four to five shorter days depending on personal circumstances. The role is primarily office-based, as you'll play a custodial and supportive role within the team, helping the creative studio run smoothly and feel grounded.

? Ensuring a warm welcome for clients and guests

? Supporting directors with ad hoc tasks and diary assistance

? Maintaining personnel files, HR templates, sick forms, and office handbooks

? Supporting social media content planning, scheduling, and light design updates;

? Monitoring and reporting on marketing analytics;

? Managing and updating the CRM system;

? Supporting the development of presentations, pitch decks, and case studies;

? Liaising with brand and digital consultants on content, SEO, and positioning.

PR & Brand Development

If you bring experience in PR or brand partnerships, we'd love to hear about it. This is a 'nice to have' rather than required.

Optional responsibilities could include:

? Drafting press releases, media kits, and background documents;

? Building relationships with journalists and coordinating press coverage;

? Supporting public speaking opportunities or studio events;

? Assisting with the London Festival of Architecture or industry-led engagements.

What We're Looking For Skills & Experience

? Demonstrable experience in office / studio management, ideally in the creative or built environment;

? Familiarity with marketing or communications in architecture, interiors, or design;

? Strong written and verbal communication with an eye for tone, detail, and beauty;

? Confidence in managing multiple priorities and anticipating needs;

? A natural sense of systems, structure, and visual order;

? Software literacy: Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop, Mailchimp, Airtable, Capsule, Xero, WordPress (training can be provided).

?

Proactive and self-led; you take ownership and follow through

? Calm under pressure, with a steady hand on the day-to-day

? People-oriented and positive; a warm and respectful presence in the studio

? Passionate about systems, organisation, automation, communication, and brand

? Open to learning and generous in spirit -- you support others and ask for support when needed

Why Join Us?

? Work in a meaningful role with real influence across the studio
