Yard Operative (Yard Boy)

We are looking for a motivated and dependable

Yard Operative (Yard Boy)

to join our busy drainage services team. This is a hands-on, physical role based in our yard, with responsibilities that include general yard duties, assisting with equipment preparation, loading/unloading vehicles, and keeping the work environment safe and organized.

This role is ideal for someone with a

valid driving license

who is eager to work hard, stay active, and

learn on the job

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the day-to-day operations of the yard Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and storage areas Load and unload vehicles and equipment Assist drainage crews with equipment preparation and minor maintenance Conduct basic checks on vehicles and tools (under supervision) Drive vehicles to and from local sites or suppliers as needed Follow all health and safety procedures and protocols

Requirements:

Full UK Driving License

(or local equivalent) - essential*
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions Physically fit and capable of manual labour A proactive, team-oriented attitude Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities Forklift or plant tickets are a plus, but not required
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15,704.00-20,800.00 per year
