Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, creative, and personable individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team. We are a textile recycling company, specialising in the manufacture of industrial cleaning rags. You will be based in the office of a large recycling facility and warehouse. If you've worked in a similar setting before, all the better - but most importantly, you'll bring a true commitment to customer service and a keen desire to drive forward sales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and printing order labels, packaging orders with accuracy and attention to detail, create and maintain online product listings, manage marketing and brand campaigns, following up on customer queries in a friendly and personable manner via email/website/social media messaging, answering telephone calls, raising and sending customer invoices, and serving customers who need assistance.

You will also be given control and ownership of a shopfront, and creating and maintaining an ongoing stocktaking inventory system where all stock is inspected, sorted, and sent to the appropriate warehouse departments, stored appropriately, and is readily and easily accessible.

The role includes (but is not limited to):



- Physically examine all inbound materials & forward to appropriate areas of the warehouse.

- Creating and maintaining an inventory system to ensure all stock is accessible.

- Pick and pack orders quickly and accurately.

- Proactively picking stock you feel is suitable to be featured for sale.

- Create and maintain online product listings, including taking product photographs.

- Take on the role of 'Sales Assistant' to any customers who need help with their purchases.

- Answering telephone calls and taking telephone orders.

- Respond to website/online sales queries (including tracking customer's orders).

- Manage online orders.

- Raising and sending customer invoices with total accuracy and professionalism.

- Assist in the sales of stock to all walk-in customers (handling cash as required).

- An excellent understanding and command of English.

- Reliable and punctual.

- Adaptable and flexible, able to think on your feet and solve problems quickly and effectively.

- Good command of maths and written English, and the ability to remember/add prices.

- Physically able to carry stock up and down a flight of stairs.

- Excellent communication skills, speed, and accuracy.

- Initiative, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to accurately follow instructions.

- Friendly and approachable telephone manner.

- A desire to learn and the drive to be proactive with work

- Customer service experience and a drive and desire to provide our customers with the best service possible.

Desirable



- Experience of working within a factory environment would be beneficial, but not essential.

- An understanding of computer software (Microsoft 365, Quickbooks, Parcelforce consignment entry, etc) & online sales.

- A keen eye and ability to take interesting and creative stock photos for online use (eg: social media platforms).
