Post Office Counter Assistant (Permanent Position)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Post Office Counter Assistant within our existing team. Reporting to the Post Office Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all customers' mail items are sent safely and compliantly, banking transactions are completed quickly and efficiently and the wide range of additional services we offer are provided to the highest possible standard.
We are seeking to employ a flexible, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our team on a permanent basis. This vacancy is available with an immediate start date.
The successful candidate must be able to offer flexibility in working additional overtime hours throughout the year to cover holidays and provide additional staffing during busy periods. They must also have demonstrable experience of providing excellent face to face customer service. All staff members are expected to be able to undertake the full range of services available at the Post Office and the successful candidate would be expected to undertake any additional learning required to do this.

Under 20 Hours per week

High levels of numeracy and literacy
Outstanding customer service record
Previous experience of cash handling
Highly organised and precise
Desirable skills:
Previous Post Office or banking experience is essential.
