Official Veterinarian for Food/Product Export Certification

Areas - Doncaster and Birmingham

Amivet Ltd is a nationwide company and a leading provider of export health certificates for the export of food and other products of animal origin to the EU and rest-of-the-world.

We are currently recruiting for

One full time OV to cover Doncaster area One full time OV to cover Birmingham area
No experience in this field is required, as Amivet provide comprehensive training and support. The main job requirements are a great eye for detail, flexibility, and willingness to travel as part of the working day; whilst using your veterinary expertise to ensure the safety of public and animal health.

Day-to-day tasks include: -

On-site ID check of products for export Review of supporting evidence provided to sign EHCs Refer to guidance notes and relevant legislation Stamp and sign EHCs Deal with exporter queries/advice Maintain good working relationships with other staff on site
The work is a mix of travel to on-site work (most locations are less than 1-1.5 hours travel away), and some home-based work. The working day is usually between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, with a mixture of short and long days within each 40hr week. There is no evening, night, weekend, or abattoir work involved. There may be occasional opportunities to travel and work at other locations within the UK.

Essential

Qualified veterinary surgeon Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) OCQ ES, EX, PX panels

A full driving license and own vehicle are essential.

We are happy to consider the right candidate who doesn't yet hold the necessary OCQ panels. (Support to train is offered and fully funded by the company *.)
