Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Training & Competency Assessor, based Offshore on a 2/3 rota in the North Sea.

Responsibilities:

  • Support fleet organization in Training & Assessment program to develop specialist skills & multi skilled individuals by ensuring that the company\'s Competence Assurance system procedure complies on board all Units
  • Review the Competency Profiles Task List with the on-board Management in accordance with the company\'s standards, rules and procedures
  • Verify and confirm individual job tasks follow the company\'s Competence Assurance requirements and standards and reflects to Competency Profiles Task List table
  • Develop and maintain unit specific task assessment forms
  • Assist the Unit in the Assessment process when on board the unit
  • Ensure that candidate\'s evidence is relevant, valid, authentic, current and sufficient
  • Identify, plan and manage training needs and learning opportunities using previous experience /gap analysis from the OCS HR and implement an individual training plan to address learning gap
  • Identify high level training and development opportunities for failed assessments. Work to attain expected competency standards
  • Support the pre-assessment preparations of OIMs and CROs according to OPITO element 1.1
  • Act as Discipline Expert during OIM Assessments when required
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications:
  • College degree or other relevant education or background
  • Relevant experience may compensate formal education
  • OPITO approved Competence Assessor Certificate or equivalent
  • Significant experience in Oil and Gas industry
  • Relevant experience within the FPSO Offshore industry
  • Relevant Experience at a Managerial level
  • Relevant experience as a Workplace Competence Assessor
