OME UK Internal Communications Co-ordinator

To support the OME leadership team with the planning and delivery of site and domain internal communications and engagement activities that inspire and motivate colleagues.

This role focuses on providing internal communications delivery expertise to the business as well as communications and engagement events and activities. Designed to generate great engagement and involvement, you'll help create an environment where employees feel connected and like they belong so that they can give their best each day. You'll report directly to the Managing Director of OME UK with support from the UK Internal Communications Business Partner. This role will work closely with OME UK leadership team, other stakeholders and external suppliers. Key Responsibilities



Support and deliver the OME UK communications plan for OME across Glasgow and Green Park,
that is in-line with the UK Internal Communications Strategy and in agreement with OME Comex
Manage and develop various online and offline OME UK communication channels (emails, newsletters, blogs, videos, events ect) Support engagement and site activities where appropriate Actively look for ways to improve the communications and engagement activities in OME UK - new ideas are always welcome!

Day to day, you'll:



Be a team player and share best practice across the Communications UK functional team and OME UK team In partnership with the ICBP, actively contribute to the development and delivery of the Internal Communications Plan for OME Source, write and edit internal content and publish across a range of channels, ensuring that all content (intranet news, emails, employee briefs, videos, etc.) is on message and linked back to the overall OME UK and Thales UK messaging and vision & strategy. Lead and manage the bi-monthly All Employee Briefings, agreeing content with the ICBP and OME Leadership Team, managing presentations, logistics, invitations and the event on the day. Lead and manage the coordination of leadership activities such as coffee with the comex and listening sessions Plan, create and deliver content for digital signage across the Glasgow site Plan, collate, write and deliver content for fortnightly OME UK newsletter Own and maintain content for the OME UK pages on the Intranet (main page, content corner, leadership corner) Identify opportunities for intranet articles from the OME business and pass 'leads' to UK Comms Content and Channels partner to publish across the UK, writing local news articles where appropriate Working with HR, support the promotion of engagement activities across the OME UK business and sites (Glasgow and Reading) such as wellbeing activities, family days, showcases and charity fundraising activities. Be the first point of contact for Glasgow site to support in UK wide campaigns (including managing posters and pop-up banners) and in doing so, being a brand ambassador for the site and for Thales Work closely with HR, Operations and business to ensure employee feedback is actioned and communicated.

About you:



You're an excellent communicator both written and oral, demonstrating strong business acumen, with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organisation. A creative storyteller who motivates people to achieve, is outcome focused and measured. Encourages and facilitates a culture of dialogue amongst all audiences. Is proactive and gets out there to understand how our people think and feel.


To be successful in this role, it's essential you have a strong knowledge of what good engagement looks like, internal communication channels, event management and other communications activities. You'll need to be able to demonstrate your experience and understanding of business requirements to support the translation into internal communications and engagement activities.


Occasional travel to our Crawley and Reading site may be required.
