Role Summary



Seashell Trust is a national charity supporting children and young people with complex learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and additional communication needs. Based in Cheadle Hulme, we provide education, care, therapy, and outreach services, and are undergoing an exciting campus transformation, including a new college build.

We're looking for a dedicated Onboarding Coordinator to join our passionate and supportive Talent team. In this vital role, you'll ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for new staff joining Seashell. You'll work closely with HR, hiring managers, and department leads to coordinate all aspects of the onboarding process, from pre-employment checks to compliance file auditing.

The successful Onboarding Co-ordinator will:



Manage end-to-end onboarding, including background checks and compliance (Ofsted, CQC, Safer Recruitment) Maintain accurate HR records and systems, including payroll reports and audits Liaise with candidates and hiring managers to provide regular updates and support Coordinate induction schedules, OH appointments, and welcome activities Support recruitment events and interview logistics when needed

Requirements for Onboarding Co-ordinator:



Experience in recruitment/onboarding, ideally within care or education, with knowledge of DBS, CQC, and Ofsted compliance Strong communication skills, confident in following up with candidates and stakeholders Excellent admin and reporting skills, including spreadsheets, audits, and applicant tracking systems Knowledge of Safer Recruitment and the full recruitment lifecycle Proactive, detail-focused, and people-oriented, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with previous stakeholder management experience Ability to multitask and work towards flexible and also tight deadlines
