Apodi are currently looking for an enthusiastic team player (1 day per week, Thursday) to join us and work in conjunction with a well-known pharmaceutical company, working collaboratively with members of the hospital team including consultants, specialist nurses and the MDT. The role includes co-ordinating and managing tailored support for patients both pre and post treatment and the activities associated with this throughout the treatment pathway.
As a Specialist Nurse you will address cancer patients' health concerns and work to promote their health and wellbeing in a holistic manner. Using your skills and expertise in cancer care you will provide physical and emotional support to patients, co-ordinate the patients care services and inform and advise them on clinical and practical issues associated with their illness. Whilst Neuroendocrine or gastroenteropancreatic experience would be an advantage this is not essential. Rather, you'll be an experienced haematology / oncology nurse passionate about working on a Patient Support Programme.
