About the Role and You

Working pattern:

9am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, term time only

Salary:

12.50 per hour

Start date:

Feb 2026

Your responsibilities will include:

To support an autistic pupil in accessing all areas of school life. To help the child engage in all activities within the preschool room. To support the child to play alongside his peers To support the child at lunchtime Encourage students to participate in the class and engage in activities.

We are looking for someone who has:

At least a level 2 qualification in childcare or a level 2 Teaching Assistant certificate (essential) Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (essential). An ability to devise and implement a range of strategies to support learning and enjoyment of learning. Good literacy and numeracy skills. The ability to inspire confidence and become a positive role model.
