Make a Difference

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate your team to deliver outstanding service every day.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the outlet, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and cash handling processes.
  • Ensure meetings and events catering is delivered seamlessly, meeting customer needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, and training to support both service excellence and staff development.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, presentation, and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Take responsibility for financial procedures, stock control, and reporting to drive operational efficiency.
  • Support the Operations Manager in developing strategies to grow sales and boost customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the University with professionalism and enthusiasm, promoting our values of quality, diversity, and service.
You'll thrive if you have:
  • Proven experience supervising or managing in a hospitality, catering, or food service environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, train, and develop a team.
  • A customer-first approach with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and compliance standards.
  • Confidence in financial processes, including stock control, stocktaking, and reporting.
  • The ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as part of a wider management team.

Interviews are scheduled to take place at our Frenchay on Monday the 13th of October, 2025.
This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days, and being flexible to support the delivery of the Hospitality service.
