Job Overview

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Online English Teachers to provide engaging, high-quality English language instruction to students in China, primarily aged 4-16 years old. This is a remote, part-time or full-time position, offering flexible scheduling to accommodate peak teaching hours in China (Beijing Time).

Key Responsibilities

Deliver one-on-one or small group (up to 6 students) English lessons via an online teaching platform (e.g., ClassIn, Zoom, or proprietary systems). Teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, tailored to students' age, proficiency level, and learning goals. Follow provided curriculum and lesson plans, incorporating interactive activities, games, and multimedia to engage students. Assess student progress through informal evaluations, homework, and feedback, ensuring measurable improvement. Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive virtual classroom environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and platform coordinators regarding progress and areas for improvement. Participate in occasional training sessions or professional development workshops provided by the employer. Maintain reliable internet connection and a professional teaching setup (quiet space, good lighting, clear audio).

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

: Bachelor's degree in any field (Education, English, or related fields preferred).

Certification

: TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent ESL teaching certification (120-hour minimum). Exemptions may apply for candidates with a degree in English or Education, or significant teaching experience.

Experience

: At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience preferred, ideally with children or teenagers. Experience with online teaching is a plus.

Language

: Native or near-native English proficiency (C1/C2 level). Non-native speakers may be considered with strong qualifications and fluency.

Technical Requirements

: Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps upload/download). Computer with webcam, microphone, and headphones. Familiarity with online teaching platforms (training provided if needed).

Availability

: Ability to work during peak hours for Chinese students (typically 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM Beijing Time, Monday-Friday, and 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM on weekends). Minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per week for part-time roles.

Skills

: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate young learners. Patience, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity to work with diverse students. Basic understanding of Chinese culture or willingness to learn.

Fully remote, work from anywhere with a stable internet connection.

Pay: 25.00-30.00 per hour
