THE OPPORTUNITY



On site Cook - Hub64 - 30 hours per week




Team Swift are recruiting for the role of an on-site Cook who will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of food for the on-site cafe Hub64. You will be preparing and cooking food for employees and guests including suppliers and Swift Group customers. You will also be responsible for ensuring the kitchen is kept organised, clean and tidy in line with Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.


The Cook will report in to the Cafe Manager and will work alongside 2 Catering Operatives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES



Prepare food and ingredients for cooking prior to service each day. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment and surrounding areas, ensuring sanitation and hygiene practices are in place and adhered to. Meet the standard of portion sizes and quality of dishes. Prepare food in a timely manner. Ensure the correct use of all machinery and equipment and complete any pre-use inspections and temperature checks as required. Assist with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supplier vehicles. Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards as well as Health & Safety regulations. Be an advocate of Swift Group's EPIC Core values, providing excellent customer service and representing the brand to a high standard. Escalate concerns or issues to the Cafe Manager when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



Previous experience within the catering industry and similar role. Previous experience of catering for a large volume of people would be desirable. Knowledge of basic Food Handling & Hygiene (Level 3) and Health & Safety regulations. Demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure. Have excellent teamwork and strong communication skills. Be organised and detailed in your work. Reliable and committed to the role with excellent timekeeping. Strong problem solving & decision making skills. Flexible, adaptable, enthusiastic and motivated

Working hours - 07:00 - 14:00 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 - 11:00 Friday (Occasional weekend catering may be necessary for ad-hoc events with notice). * Flexibility with working patterns is required.
