Are you a onsite engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions in a healthcare setting? We are looking for a Onsite Engineer to join our dynamic Digital Services team.

What You'll Do:



Lead domain migration projects including Active Directory and related services, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption. Deliver 2nd and 3rd line technical support for core network, server infrastructure, and enterprise wireless technologies. Plan, implement, and support infrastructure changes, ensuring business continuity and compliance with NHS standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working independently and collaboratively with internal teams and third-party vendors. Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and migration processes. Supervise and mentor junior team members, sharing best practices and technical knowledge. Propose and implement improvements to infrastructure, aligning with Trust objectives and digital strategy. Ensure the safe use and maintenance of high-value ICT equipment across multiple sites. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights.

What You Bring:




Degree-level qualification in computing or equivalent experience.


Substantial experience in IT support at 2nd/3rd line level.


Strong knowledge of:

VMWare

Microsoft Active Directory

Network architecture and Alcatel switches

Enterprise wireless infrastructure


Experience working with third-party suppliers and within SLA frameworks. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions that impact infrastructure and patient care.

Desirable:



NHS or healthcare IT experience. Familiarity with clinical/administrative systems. Experience with call logging systems and service desk operations. Exposure to project management and infrastructure upgrades

Additional Requirements:



Ability to travel between sites and transport equipment. Participation in on-call support (evenings/weekends). Comfortable with manual handling, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
