The Role



We are looking for a hands-on, proactive

Operations Manager

to join our team. While the role is mainly based in our Bristol branch, the successful candidate will be required to visit branch locations when required.

Key Responsibilities



Maintenance Oversight & Breakdown Response



Oversee all machine maintenance activities to ensure they are completed effectively, either internally or by external contractors Support fault diagnosis and coordinate with appropriate specialists to ensure timely resolution Ensure minimal downtime through proactive planning and contractor management

Health & Safety Compliance



Implement and enforce HSE policies across all sites Conduct regular audits and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations

HR & Team Management



Lead recruitment, onboarding, and, where necessary, disciplinary processes Conduct performance reviews and support team development Maintain a positive and productive team environment

Production Planning & Improvement



Manage daily production schedules and identify areas for improvement Work with teams to implement process efficiencies

Logistics Coordination



Oversee daily collections, deliveries, and courier operations Ensure timely and cost-effective logistics management

This role does not include any sales or accounting responsibilities.

Strong mechanical and technical problem-solving skills Experience in operations, maintenance oversight, or production management Solid understanding of HSE regulations and HR practices Excellent leadership and communication skills Willingness to travel between sites as needed A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
