What is the job role?
We're looking for a dynamic Operational Lead for Coventry's Children's Joint Commissioning Team, who will drive integrated, high?impact services for children, young people. families and carers. You'll lead commissioning across services such as mental health, medical assessments and elements of SEND provision, ensuring high?quality, joined?up support across the Council and with health partners.
Working at a senior level, you'll collaborate with partners including the ICB and Public Health, to commission quality services and to contribute to national programmes such as Family First and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. With increasing integration of health and social care, this is a key opportunity to shape future models of joint provision in Coventry.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?
As the operational lead you will need:
Strong experience in children's joint commissioning across health and social care services.
Be skilled in leading commissioning for areas such as mental health, short breaks, medical assessments and SEND provision.
Confident working with key partners such as the ICB, Public Health, providers and adult commissioning.
Be able to drive strategic planning, service development, quality assurance and market shaping.
Be a strong negotiator with experience integrating services and delivering cross?agency programmes
Be analytical and a collaborative leader who can deliver high?quality, joined?up services for children and young people.
