Role PurposeThe HBEU Operational Resilience team (c.30 FTEs) supports nine markets in meeting local and global resilience requirements, sharing insights, driving efficiencies, testing resilience, and ensuring consistent standards across HBEU.
Reporting to the Head of Operational Resilience, this role oversees the resilience of IT assets supporting HBEUxe2x80x99s Important Business Services (IBSs) and Important Group Business Services (IGBS), working with Business Service Owners and Technology teams to assess and coordinate resilience efforts.As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package.   • Review technology service dependencies with business owners and the resilience team.
  • Conduct resilience assessments, track risks, and drive their resolution with technology teams.
  • Identify and report common technology risks to governance committees.
  • Support technology business leads with prioritisation, deliverable design, and programme impact advice.
  • Act as a liaison between technology leads and business owners to deliver resilience improvements.
  • Share updates on technology asset and service performance.
  • Support technology resilience testing and capture lessons learned.
  • Maintain and report the technology resilience profile across HBEU.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure (servers, networks, databases, cloud services).
  • Familiarity with platforms, system architecture, disaster recovery planning and their impact on resilience
  • Strong understanding of Operational Resilience, IT Risk, and Business Continuity standards.
  • Knowledge of IT process mapping. threat detection and patch management.
  • Ability to distil complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
