Hawthorn House is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated Outstanding Service providing respite / short break care and is looking to recruit an Operational Supervisor for an exciting new development within the scheme.



The new development compromises two specialist step-up / step-down flats for young people (16+) and adults with complex learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum diagnosis who present with behaviours that challenge.



WHAT IS INVOLVED?



The postholder will assist with the co-ordination; day-to-day running and development of the new specialist scheme offering management support; supervision and work alongside the staff team, ensuring that service users receive the highest standard of care and support and specialist interventions using the Positive Behaviour Support model of intervention.



The role will involve liaising and working collaboratively with referring Care Co-ordinators and other professionals and developing support and risk plans to meet the specialist needs of the service users.



The role is Monday to Friday and there is an excellent support system in place from the management team and great opportunities for training and continuous professional development. The successful applicant will receive a full induction and receive regular supervisions and observations.



WHAT WILL I NEED?



Applicants should have significant experience and skills working with people with a learning disability / complex needs or behaviours that challenge together with supervisory / management experience.



Qualifications: NVQ / Health and Social Care Level 3 in Social Care and/or Management or

Relevant Degree / Nursing qualification or equivalent or

Social Work qualification or equivalent
