This vacant post is required in order to make sure we can continue with our high standard of providing a quality service to support the Social Workers in the Children's Community Resilience Team.
This admin team undertakes a high volume of finance related work, E-Financials and E-Procument, travel requests for young people, involvements in booking hotels, trains and flights, hire cars for staff travel. The imprest claim is a very involved process within this team.
The high volume of client filing and data base maintenance along with legal work requirement is demanding.
Therefore I would respectfully request and recommend that we remain at our staffing establishment by allowing this vacancy to be approved to maintain a high quality support to the frontline social work team to ensure they are able to continue supporting vulnerable children and their families and fulfil the statutory requirements it is important keep to maximum capacity. We strive on a daily basis to ensure we are assisting in achieving the best outcomes for children, complying with Ofsted requirements and the changing needs of the service.
We have a high level of legal work to monitor and format for cases within Children's Services and tight timescales to submit to legal department. We also undertake 40 four hourly sessions in duration on reception as the first point of contact for a service which is both demanding and challenging, we are expected to continue with this important task.
