Eco2 Management Services Ltd (EMSL) are looking for an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to lead the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of two Low Carbon Farming (LCF) energy centres near Norwich and Bury St Edmunds. The energy centres supply heat, power and carbon dioxide to large glasshouse operations. This role is primarily site-based, with regular travel between both sites.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you'll manage a small on-site team and coordinate contractors to deliver planned and reactive maintenance safely, compliantly and cost-effectively. You'll be the point of contact for operational and maintenance matters, working closely with growers, our Management Services (MSA), Health & Safety and Finance teams, and the client.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday with out-of-hours working on a rota basis. You'll need to be flexible to respond to plant issues and support planned maintenance windows. Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver a comprehensive preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance programme across both energy centres, optimising equipment availability and reliability. Manage and develop the maintenance team and supporting staff, setting clear expectations, providing on-the-job coaching, and completing performance reviews. Coordinate day-to-day maintenance activity, planned outages and rapid response to breakdowns, ensuring heat, power and CO? supply obligations to growers are met. Ensure robust health, safety and environmental standards are embedded in all maintenance and contractor activities, including permits to work, risk assessments and incident reporting through MyCompliance (or equivalent). Manage budgets and procurement for spares, tools and contractors; identify cost-effective solutions that improve performance and energy efficiency. Monitor, analyse and report maintenance KPIs (reliability, downtime and costs) and provide regular operational updates (weekly/monthly) to the client and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate records and filing systems for maintenance, compliance and asset documentation, using CMMS/asset management systems and site operating systems. Collaborate closely with growers, the MSA team, Finance, H&S and project teams to align maintenance plans with contractual requirements and operational priorities. Support business continuity by ensuring appropriate cover arrangements are in place and the Maintenance Supervisor is able to deputise during periods of absence.

Who you are

We'll be looking for:

Proven experience in a maintenance management role within an industrial, utilities, energy, manufacturing or similar operational environment. An engineering qualification (degree or equivalent) and strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical and control systems. Experience using CMMS/asset management systems to maintain accurate records and produce clear reports. A strong grasp of health and safety requirements in maintenance settings, including permits to work, risk assessments and contractor management. Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, procurement and contractors to deliver cost-effective outcomes. Excellent leadership, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise, stay organised and work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Strong people management skills and proven ability to lead and develop team members to deliver high quality services. Excellent computer literacy, ability to work across the full O365 suite, including Excel, Teams and Sharepoint. Willingness and ability to travel regularly between Norwich and Bury St Edmunds (and other LCF locations as required).
