Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, organised and tenacious individual to join our team as Operations Assistant.

The role will provide support for all facets of the businesses logistics and operations across both our B2B arm (www.pigs-ears.co.uk) and our B2C arm (The Fuss.Club) including order fulfillment, stock management, operational admin, customer service, social media and marketing.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who relishes a role that encompasses many different aspects of a business and enjoys having a varied work week.

An excellent eye for detail is essential; as well as high levels of customer service and a strong level of IT proficiency.

This role has excellent scope for development and growth and would be well suited to a candidate who is interested in learning all aspects of the business operations and building a career around their skillset.

ORDER FULFILLMENT

Responsible for the daily operations of B2C Fulfilment including picking, packing, returns, quality control, personalisation and basic administration and workload management. Receiving deliveries/transfers, stock replenishment and management as well as carrying out regular stock checks. As the role develops it will include other online supporting functions including aspects of Marketing, Social Media, Web Development and Branding.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Answer incoming communications from customers. Fulfilling customer requests whilst demonstrating professionalism and empathy. A genuine passion for helping others with a customer centric mindset. Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to get up to speed with products and systems quickly, and an excellent grasp of internet technology. IT literacy, high flexibility in your schedule, good organisation, independence and self-reliance.

E-COMMERCE + SOCIAL MEDIA

Basic experience with Adobe software, Canva or similar. Basic use of Shopify, WIX or other web/webstore building services. Solid understanding of Googledocs. Maintaining, monitoring and updating companies websites/blogs. Engaging with our online community on Instagram and Facebook (etc) Content creation (in-feed and stories) using various design/marketing tools.

OPERATIONAL ADMIN

Operational Admin includes using stock management software to create, update and manage our range of products. The role will also include supporting the finance team with digital Invoice Approval and Invoice/Credit receipt and management. Data entry and reporting will figure heavily in this aspect of the role; so it is important the candidate is not only comfortable with Google Docs but also confident in developing, creating, formatting and troubleshooting spreadsheets. The candidate should have a competent level of computer literacy to allow them to quickly learn and understand new systems. Customer service and account relations will be an ongoing part of the role as will maintaining a strong link between the OPS and Warehouse teams.

ADDITIONAL DRIVING

The role will be include covering illness/holiday periods for B2B delivery drivers and as such should be physically fit with a valid UK driving license. On average the role will involve Delivery Driving 2-4 days per month to provide sickness or holiday cover for the Driving Team.

PROGRAMMES:

The candidate should have experience (and proficiency) in the majority of the below programmes/software:
Shopify, Cin7, Xero, Google Docs (sheets, forms), Slack, Gmail, Adobe Suite/Canva.
