About The Role

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles whilst on-site, charging/replacing batteries and any other activity reasonably required depending on the specific customer defined processes and procedures, adhering to HSE requirements at all times.

What You'll Be Doing

Vehicle handling and yard Operations. Drive and move vehicles safely and professionally, following all site and HSE rules. Assist with organising and maintaining a clean, orderly vehicle yard. Support inventory processes including stock checks and reconciliations. Follow the full "gating in" procedure and complete accurate "Pre-Inspection" checks. Perform basic mechanical checks including lights, tyres and general condition. Support the Battery Maintenance Team with charging, replacing, and inspecting batteries. Conduct maintenance checks on vehicles in stock. Carry out quality control checks within required timeframes. Use handheld devices and tablets for daily tasks. Support general admin and inventory duties as needed. Maintain a calm and professional manner when dealing with colleagues and customers.

What We're Looking For

Basic mechanical knowledge / experience with car maintenance. Skilled and confident driver, familiar with different vehicle types and ignition systems. Strong communicator who works well with others. Excellent time management and ability to prioritise under pressure. Attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Confident using computer systems (CAMS knowledge ideal). Understanding of basic HSE practices and commitment to safe working. Physically able to work on and under vehicles. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather. Valid UK driving licence (essential).
