About the Role:
ME+EM are seeking The Operations Assistant a brand new role required as we scale, will be responsible for supporting the operational infrastructure that powers ME+EMs e-commerce and retail channels. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a passion for creating efficient, elegant solutions. You will work closely with the Operations (including logistics and procurement), Customer Care, Retail, Buying & Merchandising, and Finance teams to help ensure every part of our supply chain runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Operations Assistant
Maintain accurate reporting of carrier, returns and warehouse service levels, exception reports, costs, and losses, and carry out basic analyses where required.
Proactively carry out service checks on international shipments to spot problems and blockages as early as possible.
Coordinate meetings, assist with meeting preparation, and document actions.
Stock Control
Help maintain stock accuracy of our third-party warehouse through data checks, reports, and communication with warehouse and store teams.
Assist in the management and stock control of all consumables and packaging acrosswarehouse and in stores.
Review supplier invoice details including volumes and pricing before submitting them for approval by the Heads of to include gift vouchers.
E-Commerce & Retail Support
Work with parcel carrier partners to monitor shipments and promptly resolve delivery issues.
Where orders are delivered outside of SLA, permanently lost or damaged,process and follow up claims with suppliers.
Support new store openings, pop-ups and trunk shows by providing logistical and administrative support.
Process & Project Support
Identify and resolve operational issues and assist in implementing strategies to increase efficiency.
Support cross-functional projects, including system updates, operational audits, and sustainability initiatives.
Help capture and document SOPs to ensure consistency across the business.
Skills:
Essential
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Mathematical literacy (high grade GCSE)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Confident communicator who can build effective relationships across teams.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing luxury retail environment.
Proficient in MS Excel and Word (or Google Sheets, Docs and Slides)
Ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Desirable
Previous exposure to omnichannel retail operations.
Experience in fashion retail, operations or logistics.
Familiarity with ERP or stock management systems.
